Customer Review - I have been doing DIY projects for years and recently resorted to borrowing a jigsaw from family/friends because my old Makita died(sob). I have mainly used the Bosch 1590EVSK and the Makita 4350FCT. Both are excellent saws, yet I would probably have to give the edge to the Swiss, which deeply saddens me due to the loyalty I have to my name-sake. Looking to finally re-purchase a jigsaw, I hoped to find a new model of the 1590, but disappointed to find that they have discontinued the 1590EVSK and identified the JS470E as the new model to replace the old model's price point. (The 1590EVSK isn't technically discontinued as it will be re-released as the 1590/1591 EVSL models that feature a new stacking L-Boxx case but will increase the price point close to the $200.00 mark) I don't care about stacking my cases (Since nearly every tool I own is a Makita) and decided that I will give the JS470E a try. -MakitaGuy

The Skill Saw is one excellent choice. The price is reasonable and so far the quality and performance is second to none. It feels and handles exceptionally. The bit change is quick and effortless. The cuts are accurate and precise. I am extremely happy with my purchase. -Edward J. Joy

Customer Review - This is only my second Milwaukee tool the other being a super Saws All. A few weeks ago I ordered the DeWalt DW-331K Jig Saw and was so unhappy with it I returned it and ordered this Milwaukee 6268-21 Jig Saw. This tool is simply the best Jig Saw I've ever owned. Everything, and I mean everything works as advertised and whats more there is so little vibration it's not even worth mentioning. The tool is heavy enough to keep any cut exactly where and how you want it. The built in light is great for seeing your work. I can't tell you how helpful that is. I have always been a DeWalt fan until I bought there DW-331k. The blade would fall out at any opportunity, maybe it was just the saw I received, but if and when any of my DeWalt tools needs to be replaced there is a very good chance I'll only buy Milwaukee from now on. -Tommy Noble

Customer Review - I've use this for a week doing tons of home improvement projects. It won't be used that often once everything's done, so I wanted a decent quality saw at the lowest price possible. I believe ratings should not compare Cadillac to neon's even though they're both cars. This mid-low priced jigsaw has cut holes in 1/2" pine wood like butter...get the right blades for every tool/project! At this time the saw only came with a metal cutting blade so spent a couple bucks on a good wood blade. It's also cut 3" PVC pipe (while rotating it). I'm a home DIY er so maybe all jigsaw's only cut to a 3/4" depth, but I do wish they'd cut deeper, seems a waste of blade length. I cut the legs off some too-high bar stools by holding the stool with a knee and chest. Likely improper, but it buzzed through the legs on the straight line. Since I'm not a pro, I do not try to rush cuts and maybe that's the difference in cutting a straight line with this jig. -PenName

DeWalt DW331K 6.5 Amp Top Handle Jig-Saw The DeWalt Variable Speed Top-Handle Jigsaw Kit provides you with the power, precision, and innovative features you need for detailed work and curved cuts. To make fast, accurate work of tough jobs, this jigsaw kit features variable speed control in the dial and trigger, positive bevel detents on the shoe at commonly used angles, and integrated dust management. Plus a counterbalance mechanism and rubber grip minimize vibration to help keep you in control of the saw and your workpiece. This kit includes a set of T-shank blades and a durable kit box for easy transport. Customer Review - I really like this jigsaw! I've been using a Bosch jigsaw, and while it is a very good jigsaw I never really warmed up to it. When DeWalt brought out the DW331K I looked it over and decided to try it. I'm glad I did. First I like the quick, easy, no tool blade change. I far prefer the lever type system that DeWalt uses to the spinning knob system that Bosch uses. Every time I changed blades on the Bosch and the knob snapped when it locked the blade in it always felt like something had just broken. Also another feature that I'm really happy with is the dust blower on the DeWalt. It works. The dust blower on my Bosch has never worked well at all. I also like DeWalt tools because they appear to be of good quality, and sensibly built. I may keep the Bosch as a backup, but when it comes to a jigsaw the DeWalt DW331K is my weapon of choice. -Kermit Howell
